About Us

Our Story: From Soil to Purpose

Hills & Berries began as a humble family farm with a clear vision: to grow something truly meaningful. More than just harvesting crops, we wanted to cultivate a community rooted in health, continuous learning, and sustainability. Inspired by the healing potential of the black mulberry (Morus nigra) and the beauty of slow, intentional farming, we transformed our land into a thriving sanctuary. Today, we offer both produce and purpose, inviting visitors to reconnect with nature and themselves.

Our Journey

2016: Taking Root

We planted our first mulberry trees in the rich, fertile soil of our hometown in Pangil, Laguna. The trees flourished, eventually allowing us to craft the wholesome products we offer today. We now proudly manage three farms, home to over 14,000 fruit-bearing black mulberry trees! Most importantly, this abundance has created sustainable livelihood opportunities for local families, a milestone that fills us with immense pride and purpose.

2019: Expanding Our Reach

To bring our products to more health-conscious homes across the country, we proudly partnered with Healthy Options, the Philippines’ leading natural retailer.

2024: Pioneering Philippine Silk On October 12, 2024, the DOST-Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) held a groundbreaking ceremony at our farm to launch the country’s largest commercial-scale silk cocoon production hub. Aligned with the SEDA Pilipinas program, this marked a significant leap forward for the nation’s silk industry.

2025: Education and Expansion

This year marked a season of profound transformation. To meet growing demand, we rebuilt our factory to expand production. On April 22, 2025, Hills & Berries made regional history by becoming officially accredited by ATI-CALABARZON as a Learning Site for Agriculture I (LSA I)—the very first Agri-Processing LSA in the region. We also launched our dedicated camping grounds, Kamp Carlie-Nae, offering guests a peaceful countryside retreat.

2026: A Landmark Year for Agri-Tourism

Building on our momentum, we expanded our educational offerings by becoming a recognized TESDA TVET provider, complete with a newly constructed training pavilion. To elevate the visitor experience, we introduced an interactive animal hub, a scenic trail leading to our stunning Victoria amazonica water lilies, and a giant basket for memorable photos. We also opened a brand-new information and ticketing center featuring a beautiful welcoming arch to greet our guests.

It is a profound privilege to steward this initiative in partnership with local government officials, our hardworking community, and dedicated supporters like you.

Whether you are here to pick fresh mulberries, explore our agricultural training programs, or simply enjoy a relaxing countryside getaway, there is something for everyone at Hills & Berries. We can't wait to welcome you.

Yours truly,
The Hills & Berries Family
